So, why do you need to get high school portraits done? Doesn't the typical high school schedule a day for a cap and gown photograph for the yearbook? You know, the assembly line style where you are just shuffled through the process and your picture looks the exact same as everyone else's photo: same awkward pose, same gown, same everything.
Did you experience the exact same cookie cutter high school experience that everyone else lived? Or are you unique, one of a kind, full of fire and passion, and ready to take on the world?
With Coffee and a Camera Photography, your senior portrait experience is anything but the typical cookie cutter cap and gown photo.
Before Your Session
Before we head out on location, we will meet over a cup of coffee to plan all the details of your session. Bring all your ideas, because we we talk clothes, hair, makeup, locations, props, and your vision for your session. I will send you a questionnaire a few days before our appointment, and we will discuss your answers. This planning session is a very important part of the photographing process; you will get to know me better, and I will learn more about you and what is really important to you. The more I know about you, the better I will be able to create a session that is all you.
During our coffee chat, I will explain the timeline and what you should expect from me, my policies, and answer any and all questions you may have. I want to make sure that you know exactly for what to plan and how we can make the most of your session!
I will suggest my preferred hairstylist and makeup artist and help her get in contact with you. Bring pictures of your outfits. What you plan to wear will determine several other ingredients to your session.
This is our dreaming stage! No idea is too small or too big.

Session
Get pretty and leave the rest to me! We will meet at our predetermined time and location to have fun, laugh, and create gorgeous images. Bring your mom, a sibling, or a best friend to experience the day with you! Should there be time, we’ll have your accomplice join you for a few images to capture this special time that you are both experiencing.

Reveal & Ordering
Approximately two to three weeks after your photo session, we will meet again for you to view your images over coffee and yummy snacks. Be sure to bring your mom, dad, aunts, grandmother, best friends, or anyone else who would love to see your images and potentially order prints.
I will help you decide on the images that you cannot live without. I will even show you what a particular size canvas will look like on your wall using a picture of your home!**
Your photographs, books, and canvases arrive from my professional print lab usually within two weeks of the reveal appointment. I will package up them to look like beautiful presents and contact you to arrange a pickup time.
