What if you could change your grandchild's life for the better?
This is my own mom and daughter. My mom loved her grand babies fiercely. She fought for her family and loved big.
You remember it clearly: the moment your baby had a baby. Up to this moment, you believed nothing could top meeting your own child. But as you stood in the hospital room, the lights dimmed and the cool breeze from the AC kissing your skin, your heart grew larger than you thought ever possible. Your own daughter sat on the hospital bed holding a tiny baby bundle wrapped in a swaddle. You saw such a powerful girl about to start her own motherhood journey that transformed your own life.
Your daughter looked at you with so many emotions in her eyes. You clearly remember all those feelings that she felt. With a look of pride and excitement she lifted the newborn slightly towards you and asked, “Do you want to hold him?”
Nothing could stop you in that moment from getting to that sweet baby. Tears stained your cheek as the overwhelming love filled every fiber of your being. The newborn smell filled your nose.
That moment meeting your grandchild changed your life and you loved that tiny human with a ferocious love. You would do anything for your grandchild, and you wanted to do whatever it took to help create a perfect life for that new little one.
Think back: if you could go back to your teenage self, what would you tell yourself? How would you encourage yourself to chase your dreams? What would you advise yourself to avoid? What would you do differently? What would you tell yourself about your worth?
What would you tell your grandchild about their self-worth today? Now think about all the pressures teens face today.
You've played such a vital part in your grandkid's life, and you can continue to make a difference.
7 in 10 girls believe that they are not good enough or don't measure up in some way, including their looks, performance in school and relationships with friends and family (from the Dove Self Esteem Fund).
Let that sink in. The majority of girls don't think they are good enough.
98% of girls feel there is an immense pressure from external sources to look a certain way and the majority of girls will avoid normal daily activities (such as school) when they feel bad about themselves. The majority of girls resort to cutting, bullying, smoking, or drinking when their self-esteem is low.
But it doesn’t have to be that way…
What if you could help your grandchild feel better about them self?
What if you could show them how beautiful they really are?
What if you could give them hope and encouragement that would spur them on to truly and courageously chase their dreams and passions?
In today’s world, almost all teens struggle with self-esteem. Little notes of encouragement are excellent. Reminding them of how much they’ve changed your world is great.
Even more powerful? The mixture of words and images that truly show a teen just how amazing they are.
The result is something that will overcome every insecurity and all feelings of inadequacy, feelings of being repulsive, and the feelings of incompetence so that your teenage grandchild can listen to their true inner voice. These sessions show the teen that they are powerful and beautiful on the inside and outside.
I want them to realize their true beauty so that they are confident in themselves before they leave high school. Imagine the impact a single beautiful image can do for a teen’s self-image.
