Peyton won a trip to NYC with Kimberly Danielle Portraits.
Even though it was freezing, we got lucky. The rest of the trip it rained and rained. And ever since we left, they've had NorEaster after NorEaster that has covered the east coast in snow and winter weather.
We visited the Statue of Liberty, the 911 Memorial, Trump Towers, Times Square, a wax museum, and Macy's.
If you ever get the chance to visit the 911 Memorial, then go. It was an intense and very emotional. experience. The designers and historians did a fantastic job creating this amazing piece of American history. Halfway through the museum, I had to sit down and gather my composure because I was overwhelmed with what everyone endured and my own memories from the day.
As we stood under a bridge in Central Park - one featured in countless NYC movies, a crowd gathered at the top of the stairs to figure out who the celebrity was.
It was Peyton.
There may or may not have been lots of reenactments from Elf. We definitely found out that it is a federal crime to walk the Lincoln Tunnel.
One of my favorite things about destination sessions?
"Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world, you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however how small. And in return, life- and travel- leaves marks on you.
Anthony Bourdain
Without fail, every travel adventure, whether big or small, that I have taken has impacted me in some way. It isn't just about the excitement of a destination photoshoot. It is so much more.
This trip? I got to learn so much about a day in America that forever transformed history. We celebrated the beauty and resiliency of one of the greatest cities in America and the world.
This iconic Central Park fountain is featured in countless movies. There were performers singing opera and other photographers with engaged couples in the park.
Peyton, thank you for heading to NYC with me! I loved our trip and your pictures are gorgeous. I had so much fun!
