When it comes to outfits, the options are limitless! There are so many colors, texture and accessory choices! With all those decisions, it may seem overwhelming at first, but what a perfect opportunity to go shopping!
Most of my seniors love shopping at JJ's Designs & Boutique, Anthropologie, Free People, Altr’d State, and Francesca’s. Keep these following tips in mind as you rummage through your closet and shop for the perfect outfits that represent exactly who you are for your upcoming senior photoshoot! Following these tips, you'll find the 2018 trends.
Colors
Consider your skin tone and hair color as you decide on your outfit’s color palette and choose tones that complement the skin you are in. Vibrant colors, such as a royal blue or deep purple work well on most skin and hair types. Once you have a basic color idea down, check out a Color Palette Generator. All you need to do is upload or enter a picture’s url and out pops a bunch of coordinating colors that you can use as you search for different clothing items within your entire outfit!
Textures
Adding texture to your photoshoot wardrobe will add more dimension to your images. This can easily be done by wearing a lacy dress, a sparkly top or something with ruffles!
Layers
Layers allow for more variety. Think of a fun scarf that we can wrap in different ways or a sweater, jacket and/or vest that we can photograph both on and off within one single outfit.
Different Styles
The length of your photoshoot will allow for multiple outfit changes, so by all means bring different outfits! Consider bringing a casual ensemble like a graphic tee and jeans, something in the middle, like a floral sundress and boots and then something a tad dressier with some killer high heels!
Shape
Whatever fashion tips and trends you choose to utilize in your wardrobe, do be sure of this: accentuate your figure. Whether you are are a guy or girl, pick outfits that fit well and flatter your figure.
Accessories
Let’s not limit this to just necklaces and earrings! Those are great to bring but also think along the lines of bangles, a funky hat and shoes! The right accessories can polish off any outfit!
